Today is the start of the Cheltenham Festival, the Olympics, World Cup and every other Championship all rolled into one glorious four day jamboree in the English cotswolds and playground for tens of thousands of Irish fans, jockeys and trainers.

As a means of getting under the skin of the sport the Jockey Club in the UK has produced a high quality series of short films looking at different aspects of the game.

This episode, released last week looks at how the major training establishment of Jonjo O’Neill gets ready for a big occasion.  O’Neill rode into the history books when partnering Dawn Run to Cheltenham Gold Cup glory in 1986.  He is the only man to ride and train 100 winners in a season, he has battled back from cancer.  He is some man for one man and here is a glimpse at his working life…
