The final act of this seasons battle royal to win the Trainers title is taking place at Punchestown all week.
Going into the final two days of the season Mullins leads by just over €400,000 in prize money, a figure he has turned around by almost €1million in the first three days of action.
The drama has been played out on RTÉ TV, on social media after the incredible actions of Al Boum Photo on Tuesday (see below) and seemingly with a dramatic story every half an hour.
Punchestown have been producing a daily highlights video on YouTube which captures the kind of moments of celebration that might take a year to compile but which is being turned around in minutes by the team.
The Festival is the place for corporate entertaining with attendance up year on year and the sport of racing portrayed in the very best possible light.
And if you haven’t seen what happened on Tuesday, here it is.
If you just don’t get what the appeal of horse racing is then this may pass you by but it is sport, bravery and drama at its absolute peak. Simply brilliant.
