The closing date for the Irish Sponsorship awards is this Friday, October 19th.  There are a number of categories covering everything from sport to the arts, broadcast and PR to social media and agencies.
Submissions need to be with the organisers before 5pm and will be judges against sets of criteria laid out at their website www.sponsorshipawards.ie.  It is likely that a number of members of the Sport for Business community will be nominated and we wish good luck to one and all.
There is an award for the best rights holder or governing body so the awards extend beyond the sponsor companies as well, though the most important element may be in showing the sponsor how they are valued by summarising and highlighting the success of a partnership whether it is at international or hyper local level.
The awards will be presented at a lunch in Dublin’s Burlington Hotel on December 5th.
The Irish French Chamber of Commerce is hosting a business breakfast on sponsorship this morning at which Patrick Haslett of Paralympics Ireland is among the speakers.  The event is sponsored by Pembroke Communications.
