Intersport Elverys together with the FAI, IRFU and Canterbury are giving away 1,000 Irish jerseys as a thank you to healthcare workers.
The campaign kicked off on social media yesterday and gives people working in healthcare the opportunity to apply for one of the jerseys or for the general public to nominate someone they know to receive a shirt free of charge.
There is a simple online mechanic to apply and there is also a neat question on what you would say to the nation if you had its undivided attention.
We will follow the campaign and bring you some of those statements as they are submitted over the coming days and weeks.
The artwork is eyecatching, the sentiment is spot on and even if you don’t get to be among the 1,000, there is a knockdown sale on shirts with Rugby jerseys reduced from €80 to €30 and football from €75 to €50. €5 from the sale of each shirt will be donated to Pieta.
Great initiative and one that deserves credit and support.
