As the business of sport has grown over the last decade so too have the opportunities to learn and develop your career within it.

This morning the International Sports Convention Academy has launched a new Business of Sport certificate with Ireland’s Mave Buckley as its lead guest lecturer and professor.

Earlier this year ISC Academy launched their first two online courses in Fan Engagement and Sports Governance.

The latest addition will cover no less than 15 individual courses covering Governance, Sports Law & Integrity, Stadium & Venue Operations, Sports Development, Sports Communications, Sports Commercial, High Performance in Sport, Sports Branding, Sports Tourism, Sports Branding, Player Athlete Management, Sports Strategic Planning, Esports & Gaming, Sports Events and Fan Engagement.

“The ISC Academy looks to disrupt the global provision for education in the business of sport and to ensure sports education is accessible, affordable and practical to those in and out of the industry, at both entry and management levels,” said Buckley, a long time member of our Sport for Business community through her own Leading Sport Agency based in Cork.

Contemporary

“It was a privilege to be invited to be course development lead on this.  We have created content which is a really contemporary mixture of video, audio podcasts, and the written word, all delivered digitally.”

“Over the summer we have interviewed top professionals globally from the best sporting organisations internationally to bring together unique best practice case studies into the course.  It will be a great learning option for those wishing to enter the industry or those within the industry looking to upskill.”

“As an ISC Alumni one has lifetime access to the course materials,” added CEO Nigel Fletcher.

“ISC brings the industry together and whether it is attending the flagship International Sports Convention or the ISC Study visits or accessing our weekly podcasts and content, ISC is part of your ongoing career journey.”

The ISC Academy also has a call on other industry leaders to deliver content including Martin Murphy from the Aviva Stadium, Dave McHugh from Line Up Sports, Micky Lawler, President of the WTA, Matt Roberts, Research and Analytics Director with F1, Rick Traer, CEO of Sports Tourism Canada, Oliver Jaberg, Director of Integrity and Anti-Doping with FIFA and many more.

The ISC Academy provides online courses in the business of sport aimed at both students and professionals.  In 2021 ISC Academy will also include an ISC Sports Marketing diploma and the ISC MBA in the Business of Sport.
