It was an invaluable road map through the darkest months of Covid lockdowns and now as sport, business and society emerge fully back into the light, the Onside Sports Industry Monitor, in partnership with the members of the Sport for Business network, will once more give us a snapshot of where we are as individuals as part of our wider peer group
The survey was launched in 2020 at the height of the pandemic and guided us through three waves of research where we showed rising and falling levels of optimism as well as a sense of where we as an industry were heading.
It is valuable as a sense check on where we are as individuals and the full results of the survey are made available to all those Sport for Business Members who complete the survey.
“As sport in Ireland continues its restart after the pandemic lockdown, this wave of our research with members of the Sport for Business community will help to widen the perspective on the factors impacting the sports community, exploring new challenges and opportunities on the horizon,” said Kim Kirwan, Head of Intelligence and Insight at Onside.
“This will range from sports showing momentum in the past year to plans for bringing sport into the metaverse.”
“Our goal is to produce actionable intelligence around where asset and commercial opportunities may be for sponsors, rights holders and agencies in a demand-led sponsorship marketplace as we head into the second half of 2022.”
“The Sport for Business community grew over the past two years as we provided a continuous link between members in a landscape that none of us had ever experienced,” added Sport for Business CEO Rob Hartnett.
“Last week we hosted the first major gathering of our members in a live setting since the re-start and now this survey is a great chance to share our thoughts and see how they match up against those of the friends and colleagues we work alongside or even compete with.”
The survey takes five minutes to complete and will be exclusively made available in full to all those who complete it between today and the end of next week.
It covers the appeal of individual sporting properties, the issues that are creating the greatest challenges and opportunities to us all and how optimistic we are about the sector in the short to medium term as well as more.
Sport for Business Members can complete the survey here.
