Congratulations to Shamrock Rovers who secured a fourth SSE Airtricity League of Ireland title in a row with a 1-0 win away to St Patrick’s Athletic on Friday night.
Aaron Greene and Graham Burke scored the goals in Inchicore and both have been at the club for each of the four titles.
This is Rover’s 20th League of Ireland title in all and guarantees them entry to the qualification stages at least of the UEFA competitions next summer.
In the meantime though they will be looking forward to a celebration in front of their home fans in Tallaght Stadium next Friday night and to celebrating in style in the meantime and for the winter.
This last game of the season has now bee confirmed to be shown on RTÉ2 giving a wider audience for the game and more eyeballs on the LED advertising in place at Tallaght Stadium, another step in the improved look and feel of the League.
