Olytico’s analysis for July 2025 incorporates over 15,000 posts, 5 million engagements, along with 12 million views of the listed Sport for Business organisation’s content on TikTok.
With success on the roads of France, achievements on the track and courts both in Ireland and internationally, and a record score for the Men’s Rugby XV, July 2025 was another special month for Irish Sport on Social Media.

July 2025 Highlights on X
Activity on X fell by 2% in July, and the 5,730 posts generated 154,258 engagements, a 35% decrease on the previous month.
This time last year we were deep into the Paris Olympic Games where engagement skyrocketed, delivering almost over three times tha level of engagement.
The League of Ireland (722, +9%) topped the X activity charts as Rockshore used Roy Keane to promote their partnership.

In second, the Ladies Football account (708, +8%) saw Ava Connolly of Waterford presented with the cup following the 2025 ZuCar All-Ireland U-18 C Championship Final, and in third, the GAA (510, 17%) recognised the unsung heroes, the Croke Park grounds team who keep the playing surface looking pristine all year round.

Team Ireland (122, +578%) celebrated Katie Taylor’s victory against Amanda Serrano, and Swim Ireland (141, +143%) showcased the support and sacrifices made by parents as they featured Kara Shortt during her son John’s medal presentation.

The Ireland Football account (122, -42%) topped the X average engagements per post metric, and they were followed by Irish Rugby (100, -49%) and Leinster Rugby (73, -41%).
Again by way of comparison to a year ago, Team ireland with coverage of Paris, and gold medals for Daniel Wiffen and Rhys McClenaghan had an average engagement per post of 534.
Cycling Ireland (21, +600%) saw Ben Healy win a stage in the Tour de France , with Eddie Dunbar finishing fourth.

Badminton Ireland (22, +175%) congratulated Nhat Nguyen as he made it through to the last 16 of the China Open WT 1000 event with an impressive win over Denmark’s Gemke.

The most engaged with content on X in July came from Cricket Ireland as Ireland’s first dedicated cricket stadium took a step closer (link).
We are delighted with the support from the Irish Government and Sport Ireland for the creation of Ireland’s first dedicated cricket stadium.
Today it was announced the project is moving into the Tender for Construction phase, with work planned to start in early 2026.
