Drogheda United FC has announced a new partnership with Lennon Group ahead of the 2026 season, strengthening the club’s commercial base while reinforcing its commitment to locally rooted businesses.

The partnership will see Lennon Group’s range of electrical services promoted through advertising hoardings around Sullivan & Lambe Park, and the company has also been confirmed as a match ball sponsor for the 2026 League of Ireland season.

Founded in 1981, Lennon Group has deep roots in Drogheda and a long-standing connection to the local community. Over more than four decades in business, the Monasterboice-based company has continued to employ people from the Drogheda area, including many club supporters, while expanding its operations nationally.

Originally established as a traditional electrical services provider, Lennon Group has also become one of Ireland’s leading providers of domestic and commercial Solar PV solutions.

Drogheda United Commercial Manager David Stephenson said the partnership reflected the club’s wider growth ambitions and its focus on sustainable development. He noted that the company’s founders hail from Anneville Crescent, the estate directly behind Sullivan & Lambe Park, underlining the local significance of the collaboration.

Stephenson said the club’s recent progress, including rising attendances, expanded community programmes and continued investment on and off the pitch, made partnerships with locally based organisations particularly important. He added that Lennon Group’s work in solar energy closely aligns with Drogheda United’s SES plan and its ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Lennon Group Operations Manager Emma Lennon described the agreement as a timely partnership at a pivotal moment in the club’s history. She said the company was proud to support Drogheda United’s future and its role in the community, adding that the partnership reflects Lennon Group’s broader mission to power and protect the community it calls home.
