Today is the opening day of the National Hunt Festival at Cheltenham, one of the biggest weeks of the year for Irish racing and racing fans.

An estimated 60,000 racegoers are expected to travel from Ireland to soak up the atmosphere though with prices set at £126 for the Club enclosure for the first three days and £149 on Gold Cup Day, it has become an expensive treat.

Virgin Media will have full live coverage from the track for those of us who cannot make it over.

If you fancy having a wee flutter on Day One, the four that I would think will give a good account of themselves.

The value of your investments can go down as well as up, obviously, but we will try to point you in the direction of some potential winners.
