AIG Ireland has signed up with the LGFA as the new and exclusive partner of the Higher Education Committee (HEC) third-level competitions.
AIG has been the LGFA’s official Insurance Partner since 2019 and this announcement further deepens this key relationship.
The title partnership of the flagship third-level Colleges competitions will see the O’Connor, Giles, Lynch, Moynihan, Donaghy, Lagan and HEC Cups now be referenced with an AIG Prefix and the company will also take on title partnership of the HEC’s Leagues and Freshers competitions for a three-year period from 2025.
This partnership is a major boost to third-level Ladies Gaelic Football, as Queen’s University Belfast prepares to host the concluding stages of the various Championships in March.
The draws for the 2025 competitions were conducted at QUB yesterday afternoon.
“AIG Ireland have been proud insurance partners to the LGFA since 2019 and we are delighted to deepen our partnership with the Ladies HEC Leagues and Championships,” said John Gillick, AIG Ireland Head of Consumer Marketing and Sponsorship.
“We look forward working with the great teams in the LGFA and HEC to progress and amplify these great competitions, in addition to helping provide insurance solutions to the LGFA and HEC communities.”
“AIG Ireland have been a pro-active and dedicated Insurance Partner since 2019 and today’s announcement deepens our already strong links,” added Micheál Naughton, LGFA President.
“We are now looking forward to the commencement of the AIG Ladies HEC Championships in 2024 and all roads will lead to Queen’s University Belfast for the various Finals in March.”
“Best wishes to AIG Ireland as they embark on this journey with Ladies HEC, and we look forward to the next three years with a huge sense of anticipation.
“I’m sure that AIG Ireland’s presence as title partner of the Ladies HEC competitions will elevate them to new heights.”
