BoyleSports has been awarded the betting industry’s highest accolade for its safer gambling processes. The Advanced Level 3 certification in GamCare’s Safer Gambling Standard, recognises companies that show high standards of player protection for its online gambling activities licensed in Great Britain.

The Safer Gambling Standard is a UKAS accredited independent quality standard that assesses and measures player protection processes in gambling businesses.

This assurance allows individuals to identify businesses who place safer gambling at the forefront of their organisations and who are continuously looking to further improve their efforts towards minimising gambling harm.

This is Safer Gambling Week, an initiative across the industry designed to drive awareness of how to approach gambling more safely, the tools available to help customers gamble more safely all year round, and the sources of further advice and support for those who need it.

“As we start Safer Gambling Week this award is a great acknowledgement of how BoyleSports acts to ensure player safety,” said Hayley Smith, Group Director of Compliance at BoyleSports.

“We are committed to continuing to set high standards of social responsibility and working towards further improvements to minimise the risk of our customers experiencing gambling related harm.”

The week of cross-industry promotion and its ‘Let’s talk about safer gambling’ theme runs from today to Sunday inclusive and BoyleSports, which has operations in Ireland, the UK, South Africa and South America, has given its full backing to the initiative.

It will be supporting the initiative through sustained campaigns on its online and social media platforms and throughout its retail estate.

Following on from its recent new brand campaign entitled ‘Choose Wisely’, BoyleSports will be running a 30 second bespoke version of its brand ad which encourages consumers to ‘take time to think’ and also affirms that ‘sometimes the wisest decision is not to bet’.

“Before we created our new brand campaign, player safety and responsible gambling was at the forefront of our minds,” said Aimee Prendergast, Director of Marketing at BoyleSports.

“We are very proud to see our ad live in a very important week for the industry and I’m delighted to see this reinforced by our new accreditation from GamCare, recognising the work BoyleSports is doing when it comes to responsible gambling.”
