RTÉ devoted over three and a half hours on Saturday to live coverage of the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Camogie Championship semi-finals and the same will be the case on each of the next two Saturday’s as well as the sport reaches the final stages of the season.

The All Ireland Senior Final has long been broadcast from Croke Park and will be again on Saturday night, December 12th on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player as part of a ‘Super Saturday for Women’s sport following on from the Women’s FAI Cup Final from Tallaght Stadium.

It had seemed as though the Intermediate and Junior Finals would miss out on coverage with their being held away from the Senior Final in this Covid hit season but it has now been announced that they will be covered in full next Saturday, December 5th.

The Junior Final features Armagh against Cavan and the Intermediate decider will be contested by Antrim and Down.

Both games will be broadcast live and in full on the RTÉ News Channel as well as on the RTÉ Player and Player International and, in another first, on the BBC iPlayer.

Galway and Kilkenny won through to the Senior final in the action on Saturday which was shown live with commentary from Ger Canning and Marty Morrisey and anchored by Evann Ní Chuillean from Pairc Uí Chaoimh.

It is a repeat of last year’s final, won by Galway in what was one of the best finals in living memory.
