Cork City FC have announced a new partnership for logistics company Dachser to become their official away game partner in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division for the 2025 season.

The family-owned company operates in locations worldwide, including a Cork depot in Little Island, and offers a wide variety of services, including road transport, air and ocean freight, and food logistics.

Dachser has provided a model-branded articulated truck that will appear at various venues throughout the season. We are not quite sure what it will do as yet, and it might not be quite as useful as the Dublin Bus that brings the matchball out at Dalymount Park, but who knows…

“We are delighted to partner with such a world-renowned name,” said Commercial Manager at Cork City FC, Anthony O’Sullivan.

“The model truck made its first appearance at the away game in Derry last Friday, and it got a positive reaction from supporters. We look forward to developing the partnership further as the season progresses.”

The agreement includes Dachser signage in the grounds of Turner’s Cross Stadium.

“We are excited about the partnership with Cork City FC,” added John Van den Berg, Managing Director, Dachser Ireland.

“Our business is based on making connections, so we felt Cork City FC was the perfect fit for Dachser as they connect supporters with football weekly. Watch out for the Dachser model truck at the away games.”

The next Cork City FC away game will be at Tallaght Stadium on Monday, April 14th, when they take on Shamrock Rovers.

SPORT FOR BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE

Activation comes in many forms, and this is different enough to catch the eye.  It feels a little like a Man United move to have a specific Away Game partner but that’s a good thing.
