The schedule for Basketball Ireland’s National League Finals weekend at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin has been finalised. The action starts on Friday, April 11th and finishes on Sunday evening, April 13th.
All games will be streamed live on basketballireland.tv, with the Domino’s Super League Finals broadcast live on TG4 from 13:45 on Sunday afternoon.
Friday night is all about the women’s game, as the four best teams in the Basketball Ireland Women’s Development League take to the court. First up at 6pm is the BIDL Plate Final between Tralee Warriors, in their first season at this level and Glanmire BC (Cork), followed by the meeting of Meteors BC (Dublin) and St. Mary’s Castleisland (Kerry) in the BIDL final at 8pm.
On Saturday, the Basketball Ireland Men’s Development League Plate Final between Merry Monk Ballina and Cavan Eagles is at 10am. A Munster derby between Tralee Warriors and Limerick Celtics is sandwiched between Templeogue’s clash with St. Paul’s Killarney at 2 pm.
Promotion to the top tier of Irish basketball is on the line from 17:30 when McEvoy’s Cavan Eagles and Limerick Celtics face-off in Domino’s Women’s Division One Final, before ND Audit Portlaoise Panthers try to avenge their cup final defeat to Limerick Celtics by pipping them to the Domino’s Men’s Division One crown and promotion to the Domino’s Men’s Super League for 2025/26.
Sunday morning sees some of the next generation of Irish basketball stars in the U20 Men’s National League Final. No fewer than eight Irish underage internationals will be on the court for this one, in what promises to be a high flying game of basketball.
The Domino’s Men’s and Women’s Super League Finals will round out this spectacular weekend at the National Basketball Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The prospect of a Domino’s Super League double is very much alive for Killester with both their men’s and women’s teams making it through to their respective finals. Standing in their way are UCC Demons in the Men’s and Utility St Paul’s in the Women’s.
