It has been a partnership that has delivered on every possible level both for sport and for the business and yesterday a selection of Dublin GAA stars popped along to AIG HQ on the Quays to celebrate the season with staff and continue the process of saying goodbye.
The relationship ended on a high in July and August when winning the Men’s and Women’s All-Ireland titles crowning a period of dominance for the county that has never been seen before and which will likely never be so again.
Aside from the trophies though there was always a very human side to the relationship with clubs, charities and fans gaining as much as the players themselves.

“We are delighted to have representatives of the Dublin football men’s and women’s winning All Ireland teams in the office today with the Sam Maguire and Brendan Martin Cups,” said AIG Ireland General Manager Aidan Connaughton.
“Their achievements this year and in previous years have been remarkable and they have been a credit to themselves, their families, their clubs, Dublin GAA and AIG as their proud sponsor.”
“We wish them the very best for the 2024 season and in the future.”
“I would also like to thank the Dublin GAA and Dublin LGFA County Boards for all their hard work, commitment and support over the past number of years. I should also like to thank the Dublin GAA and Dublin LGFA County Boards for all their hard work, commitment and support over the past 10 years.”
An announcement of the new sponsor for Dublin GAA is expected shortly while AIG will continue their deep involvement in sport and with Sport for Business. The tenth year of the 50 Women of Influence in Irish Sport will launch next week.
