
Things we will be looking out for will be the split in between gate receipts and commercial income which last year represented 48% and 33% respectively of the €55.7 million overall revenue.
There will likely be a focus on attendance at games and the revenue derived from them. The Hurling Championship dropped last year with comparison to the previous year when an All Ireland Final replay boosted the coffers. The gap between football and hurling may extend this year with a Final replay between Dublin and Mayo replacing the previous years semi final repeat between the same two teams.
Revenue from the Football Championship in 2015 were €12.84 million compared to €8.13 milion in the Hurling.
Another interesting figure from last year was the profitability of inter county games with only 48 of the 339 games at that level showing a profit.
