
It will focus on the idea of a ‘money can’t buy experience’ for fans who engage with the Guinness plus social media app and check in to pubs around the city over the course of the weekend.
Doing so before 11.00pm on match day 2nd February for the Ireland v Scotland game, will secure a chance to win exclusive use of the Guinness Private Box for the winner and fifteen friends at the Wales match the following week on February 8th.
The same competition will run the following week with a prize then of the ability to take three friends for a VIP weekend at Twickenham for the Ireland v England match. This prize will include match tickets, flights, overnight accommodation, and a special ‘Meet and Greet’ for themselves and three friends.
Three more rewards for the RBS Six Nations Championship matches against England, Italy and France will be announced in the coming weeks. Guinness will also have ticket competitions to all five of the RBS Six Nations matches throughout the Championship.

These will be added to the list of rewards available on the App which was originally launched for the Guinness November series of international matches in 2013. These include a welcome pint at certain pubs where users can ask for a five digit code from bar staff and watch as this produces a voucher to redeem the free pint.

Guinness has a major commitment to Rugby through the official partnerships with the IRFU as well as the Scottish, Welsh and English Rugby Unions, the RBS 6 Nations, Leinster and Munster. It ended its partnership with the English Premiership in 2010 but there have been persistent rumours around a possible return to club rugby once the future of the European competitions is resolved one way or the other.
Guinness is also a stadium partner of Croke Park , is involved with major horse racing events and included sport as a category within the Arthur Guinness Projects that were launched last year.
It is a active in responsible marketing in line with government and sporting body voluntary codes and also uses sport extensively through its general advertising media. One of the most lauded ads of 2013 was the use of a theme around wheelchair rugby and friendship.
