It is always a pleasure to write about a new sponsorship deal for one of the smaller sports and this morning we can announce that the Irish Olympic Handball Association has signed a two year main partnership deal with KamaGames, global developers and publishers of social games for mobile platforms.

The agreement will see KamaGames take over as lead sponsor of the IOHA with the company’s logo and branding being displayed on all men’s and women’s match day and training kit.

The company was established in 2010 and employs 220 staff across its corporate global HQ in Dublin as well as at offices in London and Dubai.

It produces social free play casino games like baccarat and poker and boasts one million active players a day across the world.

“We are excited to come on board as the main sponsors of the Irish Olympic Handball Association for the next two years,” said Andrey Kuznetsov Managing Director at KamaGames, pictured below.

“Being based in Dublin ourselves, we are happy to have the opportunity to work with the national sporting team.”

Join Sport for Business at PARTNERS 17 on April 26th at the National Sports Campus where we will be looking at sporting sponsorship at all levels with some of the biggest brands involved in Irish sport.

“The last few years has been seen Olympic Handball grow in popularity not only here in Ireland but also worldwide.”

“We are extremely happy to support the sporting community, both amateur and professional across Ireland and feel that such an entertaining, exciting and passionate sport really does reflect our company’s core values”.

The sport itself is one of the most popular games played across central and eastern Europe and is part of the sporting environment at major clubs including Barcelona.

The spatial awareness and tactics are well suited to crossover from Basketball and Gaelic Football and it would be a great option for AIB to consider for the third season of The Toughest Trade.

Watching Dean Rock or Sean Kavanagh have a go at Olympic Handball in the colours of Barcelona FC would make for pretty good content.

“The Irish Olympic Handball Association is delighted to be announcing this sponsorship agreement with KamaGames,” said Irish Olympic Handball Association secretary Michael Moloney speaking to Sport for Business last night.

“It is a very exciting time for the Irish Men’s National team right now with the IHF Emerging Nations Trophy in June 2017 and the qualifiers for the World Championships happening soon after.”

“The support from KamaGames will help us to not only prepare the team so that they
can perform at their best but also support the development of the handball players of the future through our National Academy Projects too.”
