Hockey Ireland is to host an exciting three-match series between the Ireland Men’s Hockey Team and world #5 and Olympic Bronze Medalists India, taking place at Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club in Dublin from May 30 to June 3, 2025.
The action begins on Friday, May 30, when the Ireland Development Squad takes on India in the opening match of the series.
Ireland Senior Men’s squad will then follow on with back-to-back games on Monday June 2 and Tuesday, June 3.
Both Ireland and India will use this series as vital preparation for the next leg of the FIH Pro League, with both squads set to travel to Amstelveen to take on the Netherlands at the iconic Wagener Hockey Stadium.
This series will mark a return to Irish soil for Craig Fulton, the current India head coach and former Ireland Men’s head coach, adding an extra layer of anticipation for fans and players alike.
Looking ahead to the Series, Ireland Men’s Head Coach Mark Tumilty said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for both our Senior and Development squads to test themselves against one of the world’s top teams. It’s not often we get the chance to welcome a top 8 nation like India to Irish soil, and these matches will be invaluable in our preparation for the upcoming FIH Pro League fixtures.
For our Senior players, it’s a chance to sharpen our game against world-class opposition, while for our Development Squad, it’s an exceptional learning experience and a rare opportunity to play at this level. We’re looking forward to three high-quality matches and to building momentum as we head into a crucial phase of the season.”
Tickets to attend all three Ireland vs India matches are available to purchase on hockey.ie. With limited availability and high demand anticipated, fans are encouraged to act quickly to ensure their attendance. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available to purchase at the gate.
