Olytico’s analysis for August 2025 incorporates over 14,000 posts, 3 million engagements, and close to 10 million views of the Sport for Business organisation’s content on TikTok.

The numbers are on par with those from 2022, as indicated in the narrative below regarding this month’s Instagram figures.

This is the third of four articles on social media metrics from last month.

In the infographics below, we have ranked each organisation across a range of metrics on each network, including the most active, the most engaged with, and the most engaging content, as well as engagements per 1,000 followers where possible.

It is important to note that this analysis is based on publicly available data. It does not include any analysis or insight on paid or promoted content. When % figures are used (unless otherwise stated), they refer to the previous month’s figures.

Here is how our monthly report coverage will shape up during the week.

August 2025 Highlights on Instagram

Instagram activity fell 3% to 3,844 posts and saw a considerable 44% decrease in engagements to 1.92 million from what we saw in July.

Last year in the same period the number of engagements was 4.1 million, in 2023 it was 3.9 million but maybe they were false peaks as the number in August 2022 was 1.82 million, more in line with this years.

The League of Ireland (733 Vs 392 in August 2022) topped the activity charts once again, as they paid their respects to Ollie Horgan.
