Kildare GAA Sponsorship Announcement with Brady Family Ham

There may be constant talk of Dublin dominance in Leinster Football but that has not stopped two of the counties that they will oppose next year from putting plans in place to challenge them.  That’s the beauty of sport that everything is possible.

The Kildare County GAA Board has backed up its appointment of Cian O’Neill and Joe Quaid as managers with news that Brady Family Ham has renewed its sponsorship for another three years.

This includes the support of all Kildare GAA teams from the top tier senior squads to developmental squads, including hurling and football.

“This is a very exciting time for Kildare GAA with the appointment of both Cian O Neill and Joe Quaid who will look after matters on the field of play for the senior football and hurling teams respectively,” said Kildare County Board Chairman Ger Donnelly.

“I am also very pleased that we have agreed a new 3 year sponsorship deal with our main sponsor Brady Family Ham, which is a Kildare-based well established business. I feel Kildare GAA is now in a strong position to challenge for honours in the various provincial and national competitions in 2016 and beyond.”

“Brady Family Ham is a family business that has become very much an active player in the community through our employment of staff and our partnerships with local suppliers,” said John O’Brien, Managing Director of O’Brien Fine Foods.

“We recognise as a company that it’s important to also support community activities in our locality beyond the business context. Kildare GAA is a family that positively influences communities’ right across the county and we are excited to announce our continued contribution to such a positive organisation.”

There is irony in that Carroll’s Meats, a rival to Brady Family Ham are the main sponsors of Offaly who have themselves announced a major €2.25 million project to raise the ‘Faithful’ County back to the heights of hurling and football in Leinster.

The Faithful Fields project is backed by the GAA, Leinster Council, the Sports Capital Programme and public and private sources within the county and will comprise four floodlit, full-sized training pitches, a complex of six modern dressing rooms, a meeting room/dining area and a weights/circuit training room. A 1.1 kilometre walkway will also be available for use by the wider community. The development will be centrally located in Kilcormac on the main Birr to Tullamore Road.
