This morning we will bring together the Sport for Business 30 Under 30 for 2020 for the first time.

This years list, created in partnership with PwC is an impressive call sheet of some of those who will be charged with leading the business of sport back from an unimaginable three months in the wilderness.

Read about the 30 who are on the 2020 list right here

They come from the world of sponsorship and media, national governing bodies and sports technology.

They include Sarah Gordon from Lidl and Laura Byrne from Liberty Insurance; Claire Liston from AIB and Paddy Murphy from William Fry; David McHale from the GAA and Paul Byrne from DCU.

All of them have made a significant mark in their career to date and we are looking forward to having them together, in a virtual sense for now, to explore areas of how the recovery can begin.

After an introduction around the room to each of those able to join us, we will have a chat with one of their predecessors on the list from two years ago, Conor Sharkey of Leinster Rugby.

We will then split up into three smaller groups to look at three key questions:

  • Restoring Confidence in Attendance at Sporting Fixtures;
  • Lessons from the Lockdown;
  • How Sport might engage with fans and participants in the new era.

There will be a lot of smart folk in the room and we look forward to bringing you highlights form how the discussion goes on Sport for Business tomorrow.
