AIB has released the third episode of ‘Meet #TheToughest’, a content series which gives fans a never-before-seen perspective into the AIB Camogie All-Ireland senior club championships.

This week’s episode gives an unparalleled angle of the on-pitch action between Sarsfields and Dicksboro in what was a thrilling affair that saw the Kilkenny club win their first ever senior club All-Ireland title.

The video content below features footage captured through the viewpoint of Camogie referee Ray Kelly as he officiates one of the biggest days in the Camogie calendar.

This footage is combined with a unique look at the intense on-pitch action, showcased through fans watching on in the stands.

The tightly contested final saw three-in-a-row chasing Sarsfields take on first time finalists Dicksboro.

Dicksboro hit the ground running with corner-forward Aoife Prendergast leading from the front while Siobhan McGrath kept Sarsfields in tow with a first half goal. As the second half progressed the game could have gone either way with both sides taking the lead and levelling.

The Kilkenny club powered on with a series of late scores to win their first AIB Camogie All-Ireland senior club title by a four-point margin of 0-18 to 1-11.

The ‘Meet #TheToughest’ series provided a Gaelic Games first taking viewers directly onto the field of play, allowing them a unique, insider’s glimpse into life on the pitch, allowing fans to both hear and see key moments, showcasing the game from the players’ and referees’ points of view.

The two previous episodes in the series featured footage captured at the AIB Camogie Leinster senior club championship final between St. Vincents and Dicksboro and the AIB Camogie All-Ireland senior club championship semi-final between Sarsfields (Galway) and Sarsfields (Cork).

“After what was yet another thrilling season of Club Camogie featuring the skills, triumphs and upsets it brings, last weekend saw another fantastic contest between Sarsfields of Galway and Kilkenny’s Dicksboro in the AIB Camogie All-Ireland Club Championship final.
