Decathlon, the world’s largest sporting goods retailer, has announced a strategic partnership with CLG Na Fianna, one of Dublin’s leading GAA clubs.
The collaboration, unveiled during Na Fianna’s 70th anniversary year, represents a significant investment in Irish sport and community development.
Based in Glasnevin, Na Fianna is one of Ireland’s largest GAA clubs, with over 4,000 members and more than 215 teams across Gaelic football, hurling, camogie, ladies’ football, handball, and rounders.
The club is recognised for its inclusive ethos and strong community ties, and earlier this year were crowned as the AIB All Ireland Club Champions
As part of the partnership, Decathlon and Na Fianna plan to roll out a number of joint initiatives, including in-store and online campaigns, community events, and promotional activities designed to increase engagement and support for grassroots sport.
Elena Pecos, CEO of Decathlon Ireland, said the partnership aligns with the company’s goal of making sport more accessible. “Na Fianna represents everything we value at Decathlon — community, inclusivity, and a deep passion for sport,” she said.
Cormac O Donnchú, Chairperson of Na Fianna, welcomed the partnership, noting its potential to support the club’s sporting and cultural initiatives. “This support will make a real and lasting difference,” he said.
