The Northern Ireland Football League has announced TicketCo as the league’s new Official Ticketing Partner.
With more than 150,000 events and 35 million tickets sold since its inception in 2012, TicketCo has quickly established itself as a market-leading ticketing platform specialising in the sports industry.
Operating in the UK, Ireland, Norway, and Sweden, TicketCo has strong ambitions to become the next market leader in Europe for digital ticketing.
The two-year partnership was successfully launched on Monday at the Mervyn Brown Suite of the NIFL offices, with TicketCo introducing all the Sports Direct Premiership clubs.
“This partnership is a hugely positive step forward for the league, and we’re excited to see how we can grow together, both by supporting our member clubs and maximising ticket sales,” said Ian Forrester, NIFL Chief Commercial Officer.
“Our journey of growth as a league has been continually evolving, and partnering with industry experts such as TicketCo with their experience in ticketing and customer service in other leagues and sporting competitions is invaluable to us; we look forward to learning from them to enhance the experience of NIFL for our supporters.”
“We are extremely excited to be chosen as the Official Ticketing Partner of the NI Football League,” added David Kenny, VP of Sales UK and Ireland for TicketCo.
“Through this league agreement, we can offer preferential pricing and priority onboarding to every club in the league, and we look forward to a great partnership with the league and its member clubs.”
“We deliver an easy and simple solution with a digital-first customer journey that makes buying a ticket effortless. We also offer Google and Apple Wallet tickets, traditional options, and season ticket renewal campaigns with data transfer from previous systems.”
“Our goal is to help the clubs increase their sales through a variety of products and benefits such as subscriptions, half and full season tickets, upselling opportunities like physical season ticket cards, merchandise, and the ability to promote special offers with bundles, promo codes, and discounts.”
Over 360,000 tickets were sold in the Sports Direct Premiership last season, as attendance in the league reached record highs and continued to grow across all NIFL competitions. The excitement continues to build ahead of the new season, returning on the weekend of Saturday, August 10, 2024.
