Three days of brilliant thought leadership from across the world of the business of sport kicks off in Dublin tonight with the opening session of the 2023 One-Zer Conference.

It is the kind of event, with a stellar lineup of speakers that you would normally have to travel to New York, London or Melbourne to experience but it is happening here in Ireland.

There are four key themes that will be explored – sponsorship, Media, Gaming, and Web 3.0.

The speakers that are flying in to share their experience, knowledge, ambition and more include leaders from Manchester United, Livescore, Tottenham Hotspur, Puma, the PGA of America, ESPN, Twitter, StatSports, World Snooker, Only Fans and the NBA.

This is the Business of Sport at the very highest level and it is happening right here in Ireland.

Sport for Business is delighted to be a partner once more, our relationship goes back to the first staging of the event in 2017 since when Shane Lowry, Sir Clive Woodward, John Kavanagh, Hope Solo and AP McCoy have been among the guests to appear on stage.

Tonight at the offices of William Fry in Dublin’s Docklands we will hear from Allison Giorgio, Vice President of Marketing with Puma, from Keily Blair of Only Fans, from three time SuperBowl winner Lonie Paxton and from Gordon D’Arcy.

Tomorrow the action shifts to the Aviva Stadium where Minister of State for Sport and Physical Education Thomas Byrne will open the day and we will then hear from Sam Sadi, the CEO of the Livescore Group, from Tom Rowell of World Snooker and Tomás Quinn of Dublin GAA in conversation with Kelli O’Keeffe of teneo; from Sinéad Hosey of Epic and a great panel of experts on the consolidation of esports; from Ronan Joyce of Manchester United and Tom Ryan of the NBA on Innovation; from Eoin Doyle of Sheefield United, Roisin O’Shea of Cage Warriors and Tim Edwards of TikTok on Content Beyond the Pitch; from experts in the field of finance and funding and so much more.

Day Two will finish with a fireside chat between Arjun Chowdri of the PGA of America and Rob Hartnett of Sport for business on bringing innovation and tradition together.

There will be networking opportunities, technology showcases, keynote addresses and opportunities to meet face-to-face with the people who are shaping the future of sport.

Read some of the thoughts of a number of leaders who will be joining us in this series of pre-event interviews on soport for Business and we hope to see you in William Fry tonight, at the Aviva Stadium on Thursday, and in Limerick on Friday.
