Spanish sportswear brand Joma Sport has announced a new partnership with the Padel Federation of Ireland, becoming the federation’s official sportswear partner as the sport continues its rapid growth across Ireland.

The agreement will see Joma provide high-performance apparel and equipment for the federation, national teams and players, supporting the continued development of padel at both grassroots and elite levels.

Padel has emerged as one of the fastest-growing participation sports in Ireland in recent years, with new clubs, facilities and competitions continuing to expand nationwide. The partnership marks another significant commercial step for the sport domestically and strengthens Joma’s presence in the international padel market.

Joma said the collaboration reflects its ongoing investment in emerging and high-growth sports, as well as its ambition to work with organisations that share its values around performance, innovation and community development.

“We’re delighted to welcome the Padel Federation of Ireland to the Joma family,” said David Gerrard of Joma.

“Padel is a sport experiencing incredible growth, and we’re excited to support the federation as it continues to develop the game across Ireland. This partnership represents a shared ambition to grow participation, support players at every level, and further establish padel within the Irish sporting landscape.”

Padel Federation of Ireland CEO Naomi Nicholl welcomed the agreement, describing Joma as one of the leading brands within the sport globally.

“We are delighted to announce Joma as the official teamwear partner of our national team,” she said.

“We are proud to have such a respected brand supporting the federation, clubs and players across Ireland. Joma has established itself as a leading name in the padel industry, recognised for its quality, innovation and commitment to the sport. We look forward to working together to support the continued growth and development of padel in Ireland.”

Under the partnership, the federation will be equipped with Joma’s latest technical sportswear collections, including competition and training apparel designed specifically for the demands of the sport.

Founded in 1965 by Fructuoso López, Joma is now present in more than 140 countries and ranks among the world’s leading sportswear brands. The company has a long-standing involvement in padel, particularly in Spain, and sponsors a number of professional players and international tournaments.

The brand also had a strong presence at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, equipping approximately 15 per cent of participating athletes across multiple sports.
