Playing for the Planet, a major national and international conference on Sustainable Sport, will take place at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on Thursday, November 20th 2025.

The Conference is organised jointly between Sport for Business and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport as part of the Sports Action Plan within the National Sports Policy.

It will draw on National and International best practice and speakers to provide those within Irish Sport or closely associated with it through sponsorship and funding, to stay on top of the moral and legislative requirements of today and potentially tomorrow when it comes to the role of sport within the climate debate.

We will have a series of reports following the day’s events.
