The friendly match between Bohemian FC Women and the Palestine National Women’s team is now a complete sell out at Dalymount Park, with one seat reserved for a special guest, President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins.
The President hosted players and management of both teams at Áras an Uachtaráin on Monday and it is on his official schedule to attend the game.
Jibril Rajoub, President of the Palestinian Football Association and Chair of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, and Dr. Jilan Abdalmajid, Ambassador-Head of Mission of the Palestinian Mission, also attended at the Áras in a statement that will have rung around the world.
The cost of the tickets will cover the visit of the Palestinian team and delegation, with the remainder split between charity partners Palestine Sport for Life, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and Aclaí Palestine.”
“While the game in Dalymount Park will be the highlight and send out a strong message of solidarity to the Palestinian people from Ireland, it is part of a programme of activities,” said Bohemian Chief Operating officer Daniel Lambert.
“We look forward to welcoming them to Dalymount Park in what we hope will be an occasion to remember for all involved.”
Bohemians FC has announced a pre-game music event on Wednesday featuring “Irish artists who’ve supported and shown solidarity with Palestine,” including The Mary Wallopers, Damien Dempsey, Fontaines DC, Kneecap, and Lankum.
The game will be streamed live on LOITV again with all proceeds from a one off charge of €10 for non subscribers going to the humanitarian partners.
