The 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships were officially launched at Croke Park yesterday, as 33 counties prepare to battle for six coveted spots in the Finals Day triple-header at Croke Park on Sunday, August 3rd.

The Championships begin this Sunday, June 1st, with fixtures in the Junior and Intermediate grades, followed by the start of the Senior Championship on Saturday, June 7th.

To mark the launch, TG4’s Peil na mBan Beo anchor Máire Ní Bhraonáin hosted a media event in Athlone last week, joined by several team captains including Roisin Rodgers of Donegal, Kate Geraghty of Galway, Aoibhín Cleary of Meath, and Cáit Lynch of defending champions Kerry.

The Senior Championship opens with three fixtures on Saturday, June 7th: Galway v Tipperary, Kerry v Mayo, and Meath v Armagh. Dublin face Waterford the following day.

The group stage will run until June 21st and will be extensively covered on TG4, with several matches broadcast live and others streamed on Spórt TG4’s YouTube channel.

The live TV schedule begins with Meath v Armagh at 3pm on June 7th and continues with Waterford v Dublin at 1.30pm on June 8th. A double-header on June 14th includes Kildare v Meath (12.45pm) and Cork v Kerry (2.30pm), with Tipperary v Donegal and Mayo v Cork closing out the group stage on June 21st.

Defending champions Kerry, who recently retained their Munster title, headline Group 2 alongside Cork and Mayo. Group 1 features Galway, Donegal, and Tipperary, while Armagh, Meath, and Kildare are in Group 3. Leinster champions Dublin are grouped with Waterford and Leitrim in Group 4.

The Intermediate Championship sees 2024 finalists Tyrone in Group 2 with Westmeath and Down. Group 1 includes Roscommon, Laois, and Fermanagh, while Cavan, Monaghan, and Wicklow make up Group 3. Clare, Offaly, and Wexford form Group 4.

Nine counties will contest the Junior Championship. Group A comprises Louth, Derry, Sligo, Kilkenny, and Limerick, while Group B includes London, Longford, Antrim, and Carlow.

Two teams from each Senior and Intermediate group will progress to the quarter-finals, while the top two in each Junior group will advance to the semi-finals.

The TG4 All-Ireland Senior semi-finals are scheduled as a double-header at Glenisk O’Connor Park in Tullamore on Saturday, July 19th. Croke Park will once again host the Finals Day on Sunday, August 3rd, with the Junior Final at 11.45am, Intermediate at 1.45pm, and Senior decider at 4.15pm.

TG4 Director General Deirdre Ní Choistín reaffirmed the broadcaster’s commitment to showcasing every Senior Championship match live across all platforms in 2025.

“Together, we amplify impact across communities of Ladies Gaelic Football. TG4’s commitment to our partnership with the LGFA, means we will broadcast every game in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship live across all of our platforms in 2025.”

“I would like to give special thanks to Nemeton, our TG4 team for their continued excellence in bringing the sport to audiences around the world via TG4.ie, to CEO Helen O’Rourke and the LGFA team, and to the players who bring such commitment and enjoyment to the sport for our audiences.”

The partnership, first established in 2001 and extended to 2027, has played a crucial role in raising the profile of Ladies Gaelic Football.

LGFA President Trina Murray praised the enduring partnership with TG4 and highlighted the excitement building towards another high-stakes summer of action.

“Six counties will have the honour of lining out at Croke Park on Finals Day, and we thank our players for their continued dedication and commitment,” she said.

Live broadcasts will feature expert commentary and analysis from a panel including Rhóna Ní Bhuachalla, Michelle Ryan, Declan Quill, Emer Gallagher, and others, with Ní Bhraonáin once again leading the coverage.
