Shelbourne FC manager Ian Morris has joined Clubforce as a business development consultant with responsibility for fostering relationships with football clubs in Ireland and the UK.

He will also work with the Clubforce team on areas of how to improve the ways in which the membership and club services provider serves club volunteers.

Morris is in his second season as manager of SSE Airtricity Premier Division side Shelbourne FC, having guided the club back to top-flight football in his first season in charge at Tolka Park.

“The workload of running a club can be long hours and is extremely demanding,” said Morris.

“Clubforce alleviates these demands on staff and volunteers by reducing the workload while increasing productivity and revenue.”

“Having worked for three years as a youth development officer without the use of a service like Clubforce, I can fully stand by what a fantastic asset it is to every club.”

“Ian’s appointment underpins our commitment to grassroots football volunteers in Dublin and right across the country and also in the UK where Ian plied his trade as a professional footballer for so many years,” added Clubforce Chief Marketing Officer Paul Madden.

“He brings a wealth of on-field, and crucially, off-field football knowledge to the team from a lifetime spent in the sport at all levels from youth level, through his professional career in England and Ireland and more recently as Youth Development Officer at Bohemians FC and now as manager at Shels.”
