All eyes will be trained on IT Carlow tonight as a star-studded UL team take on NUI Galway in the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup Final.

The game will be shown live on TG4 as well as on the TG4 Player across Ireland and around the world.

Nemeton crews are no doubt on site this afternoon hoping that the worst of Storm Dudley will avoid the campus.

It is the first time that the two sides have met at the final stage and UL will be looking once more to Kerry Star David Clifford who has racked up an impressive 5-20 in the competition to date.

He has been ably backed up by Sean Powter of Cork, Paul Towey of Mayo and Emet McMahon of Clare on the road to a first Final appearance in 25 years.

NUI Galway have won the tournament 22 times and last reached this stage in 2018 when losing by the minimum margin to UCD.

They are once again with Mayo talisman Tommy Conroy who suffered an ACL injury in the quarter-final win over Letterkenny IT.

Electric Ireland have been enjoying partnering and promoting the tournament again after last year was lost to Covid, and the streaming and social media campaign throughout has been very impressive.

The partnership with Pundit Arena has delivered consistently good content and the coverage across all media has been impressive, especially as the competitions have been competing for space and time with the Allianz Leagues.
