The countdown is on for one of the standout events of the summer sporting calendar as the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open prepares to return to the O’Meara Course at Carton House from July 3rd to 6th.
Some of the biggest names in women’s golf are confirmed for what promises to be a thrilling four days of action on the Ladies European Tour Tournament of the Year from last year.
Headlining the field is Leona Maguire, joined by English star Charley Hull, major champion Georgia Hall, Swedish Olympian Madelene Sagström, and 2026 Solheim Cup captain Anna Nordqvist.
A strong Irish amateur field will be joined as well by rising talent and World number one amateur Lottie Woad.
The event promises more than just world-class sport, with a spectator village featuring daily live music, street food stalls, chipping challenges, a long putt contest, and a dedicated kids’ fun zone.
Families are especially encouraged to attend, with free admission for children under 16, face painting, picnic areas, and eco-conscious activities designed to make the event both fun and sustainable. A bottle return scheme will be in operation as part of a wider green initiative.
The move to an earlier window in the calendar means that this is the first year since it’s return in 2023 that the tournament has been held during the school holidays.
Before the main tournament tees off, fans can enjoy the ever-popular Pro-Am on Wednesday, July 2, where celebrities and sporting stars team up with professional golfers in a relaxed and entertaining setting. The Pro-Am is free to attend and is expected to draw large crowds for a more informal start to tournament week.
Free on-site parking and a welcoming festival atmosphere will ensure fans of all ages can enjoy a memorable day out.
The 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open will feature a €450,000 prize fund as players vie to claim Annabel Dimmock’s 2024 title.
