The IRFU is calling on Irish Rugby fans to turn out in record numbers for Saturday’s Guinness Women’s Six Nations meeting with England at Virgin Media Park in Cork.
The game will kick off at 16:45, and to add to the atmosphere, a host of sponsor activations will take place on the day.
Vodafone setting up a special hair braiding station so young fans can emulate their idols on the pitch.
Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot will meet and greet FanZone attendees and look to find Ireland’s biggest fan.
Aon will have a special target practice game, while Energia will have a fan cam that is picking up shots of supporters in the ground.
Aer Lingus will give away special Irish Rugby-branded hats, and thanks to Aon, Vodafone, and Aldi, face painting, games, and flags will also be given away.
Fans wishing to purchase merchandise can also do so from an Intersport Elverys merchandise truck.
“We are appealing to all Irish Rugby fans to get out and support our Women’s team this Saturday in Virgin Media Park,” said Aoife Clarke, the IRFU Director of Communications.
“This team has been on a phenomenal trajectory in the past 12 months, going from finishing last in the 2023 Six Nations to finishing third last year and then going on to beat World Champions New Zealand last October.”
“They deserve nothing less than a packed stadium, so get your tickets while you can.”
Those tickets are available now through Ticketmaster, starting at €5 for juniors and €10 for adults here.
Black Ash Park & Ride will be open on Saturday to cater for supporters, free of charge, on sight of a match ticket. Fans are also being urged to park with consideration around the ground, which is in a residential area.

SPORT FOR BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
The tickets have been priced very reasonably to attract a big crowd. Given the carnival atmosphere at Pairc Uà Chaoimh for last weekend’s hurling win, there should be an excellent appetite for sport in the City and hopefully, a full stadium will spur on the Girls in Green against a stiff opponent in England
