Sport Ireland is looking to get as strong an insight as it can from across the sports community as it frames a new diversity and inclusion policy.

This will ultimately help remove the barriers to entry to sport and physical activity amongst groups that are currently under-represented in sport. These include people with a disability, the LGBTI+ community and minority ethnic communities including Travellers.

As part of the research process, Sport Ireland is conducting a nationwide survey and this research seeks to ensure that the voices of these groups are heard and that their feedback will help to shape the Diversity and Inclusion Policy and future projects and initiatives.

It will be especially important for Sport for Business members including Special Olympics Ireland, Paralympics Ireland, Cara, Sporting Pride, Irish Wheelchair Association Sport and others, some of whom may find a way to support these groups through a greater understanding of what they face.

It is an area we have long championed through our annual report and conference on Sport for Social Good and we are happy to share the survey here.

We would encourage as many of you as can to take the time to make your voice heard.
