The Sporting Club, a long-established institution in London and across England, is bringing its blend of sport and business networking to Dublin with a dinner featuring rugby legend Johnny Sexton.

The first event will take place on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, where Sexton will join Sporting Club founder Ian Stafford for an evening of stories and conversation about his career with Leinster, Ireland and the British and Irish Lions.

Guests will enjoy fine dining and networking, with proceeds supporting the Dillon Quirke Foundation.

Already established in London, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham, The Sporting Club is built around the idea that sport has the power to connect people in meaningful ways.

That is a philosophy shared with Sport for Business, but in a more social setting, and we are happy to work in partnership with The Sporting Club to see where a collaborative journey might lead.

“We’ve always believed in the power of sport to connect people and to drive positive change in business and society,” said Rob Hartnett, founder of Sport for Business.

“Partnering with The Sporting Club as they seek to establish their model in Dublin gives our community another exciting way to network, to learn, and to celebrate sport at its very best.”

Sport for Business Members can sample what The Sporting Club experience might add by joining us at the Johnny Sexton Dinner, which takes place after our Future Proofing Irish Sport event that morning.
