In lockdown, Katie Mullan took the opportunity to go full time in her work as a biomedical engineer in Belfast with Axial 3D.
It gave her an opportunity to see close hand what the Covid Pandemic was doing across the island and to play a part in helping to counter it.
“We were working on all sorts of Covid related projects and it was very exciting and fulfilling to be building different kinds of PPE Equipment, valves and all sorts.”
Now she is back in training with the Irish Women’s Hockey team and her thoughts are turning again to Tokyo…
