This weekend will see the four football provincial champions go head-to-head in two of #TheToughest battles of the year – the AIB GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Club Championship semi-finals.
St. Finbarr’s of Cork will take on Kilcoo of Down in the first semi-final at MW Hire O’Moore Park, Portlaoise at 3 pm, before Pádraig Pearses of Roscommon meet Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin in Kingspan Breffni Park at 5 pm.
To celebrate this year’s Championship drawing closer to its conclusion, AIB has released a new TV advert which will air across the weekend.
The new advert, which can be viewed above forms part of a full 360 brand campaign for AIB, celebrating #TheToughest players in Gaelic Games who, despite adversity, won’t quit, and who persevere because it’s who they are.
It’s about club and community, never giving up and never giving in.
“We at AIB hugely value our long-standing association with the AIB GAA All-Ireland Club Championships,” said AIB’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Strategy and Sustainability, Mary Whitelaw.
“In advance of these much-anticipated games, we are delighted to release our new TV ad which highlights and celebrates the commitment of club players to Gaelic Games.”
“The TV ad, and supporting 360 marketing campaign, seeks to showcase not only those who feature in the AIB GAA and Camogie Club Championships but the thousands of players who continue to train and line out for their club year after year.”
“The further development of Gaelic Games and the contribution clubs make to community life around the country is dependent on the involvement of these players. We are looking forward to two brilliant games this Saturday, and we wish all four clubs the very best of luck.”
“It has been thrilling to see the AIB GAA Club Championships return this year,” added GAA President Larry McCarthy.
“There has been some brilliant games and this weekend’s AIB GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Semi-Finals look set to provide another day of great excitement, passion, and outstanding football.”
“The on-field success of the four clubs in action is underpinned by a huge amount of work by players, coaches, and volunteers in each of these great clubs.”
“The important role the GAA club plays in communities across Ireland is something to be celebrated. We are delighted that AIB has depicted this in their latest TV ad in support of their Gaelic Games sponsorships and we are very grateful for their continued support of this special competition.”
