Oisin Foley – Sport Ireland
Oisin Foley is the Participation Executive at Sport Ireland, with responsibility for getting more people more active through the network of Local Sports Partnerships.
Having graduated from DCU with a degree in Psychology, he started out his career in research with NIIT, an area in which he gained a lot of experience in process-driven methodologies.
Foley started with Sport Ireland 2019 where he has developed strong working relationships with the national network of LSPs and has been instrumental in coordinating national projects and policy frameworks, especially through the return to sport campaigns that were crucial post lockdowns.
He has recently finished his Masters in Sports, exercise and performance psychology at the University of Limerick where he was the PJ Smyth award recipient.

This annual list identifies those under the age of 30 who are making a mark in the business of sport in 2022. It is compiled with the ongoing support of PwC, ‘where potential becomes success’.
The criteria for nomination is that they should either be working in a role that sees them playing a significant part in sports administration, sports marketing or the commercial world of sport; or that they are a graduate of an Irish third-level institution and making their mark on the international stage, and that they were born in or after 1992.
