The new Republic of Ireland home kit has been launched this afternoon by the FAI.

Created by the FAI’s recently appointed official kit supplier Castore, the new kit will be worn for the first time by the Ireland Men’s National Team against Latvia in Aviva Stadium on Wednesday 22nd March.

The away kit will get its first outing when the Ireland Women’s National Team take on the USA, in St Louis, Missouri on the 11th of April.

Both kits are available for pre-order at the FAI’s newly refreshed online store shop.irelandfootball.ie

The jersey is emerald green, with the national colours of green, white, and gold incorporated on the sleeve cuffs and the neckline, as well as in a narrow pinstripe on the front.

The new Ireland Football crest, with its central shamrock design, takes pride of place on the front of the jersey, with the shamrock also prominent on the socks and Éire detailed on the back.

Both the Men’s and Women’s shirts are on sale at a price of €80, with an option to include the Sky sponsorship on the Women’s shirt.

The Junior replica kit is priced at €65.

The Away kit has yet to be revealed but will be after the current international window.

“Our supporters are renowned worldwide for the passion they have for our teams and for football,” said FAI Commercial Director Sean Kavanagh.

“It is very important that they have a jersey which represents this passion and that they are proud to wear and we believe this jersey delivers this.”

“We are very pleased to partner with the FAI and today we are excited to reveal the first home kit,” added Pascal Lafitte, Director of Partnerships at Castore.

“We look forward to seeing the new Ireland range worn both on and off the pitch in this new era for Irish football.”

Sport for Business Perspective

The shirt reveal was always going to be down to the wire in advance of the next two games and it will be interesting to see how many are on display in the stands for the France game on Monday. In design terms it is clean and simple, using a vibrant emerald green. Interesting that there is an option on whether to have the sponsor branding on the shirt, and whether that is also an option when a sponsor is named for the men’s team.”
