THE SPONSORSHIP WEEK IN IRELAND
It was a busy week with Sports Direct signing up to a new long term partnership with Special Olympics Ireland and Kirby Engineering coming on board again on a long term, first time deal with Galway Camogie.
The FAI signed up MiWadi on a five year deal as backers of the Summer Football Camps and Park Developments extended their partnership with Irish Hockey for another two years, including the sports outreach on inclusion.
Aoife Wafer was named as Energia’s newest Rugby Ambassador and eir launched its campaign as sponsor of the U16 Camogie All Ireland Championships.
Electric Ireland were all in on their #firstClassRivals campaign as the Higher Education Championships in Men’s Football and Hurling were played in Mayo.
Finally we ran features on the ways in which SSE Airtricity and Rockshore 0.0 wre getting active for the launch of the 2025 League of Ireland season.

LG ON BOARD WITH ENGLISH RUGBY
LG Electronics is the new Official TV Partner of the Allianz Stadium at Twickenham and of the English Womsn’ national team the Red Roses.
“2025 will be another monumental year for women’s sport around the world, ” said Daniel Michelson, LG UK’s Head of Marketing.
“In recent years we have seen the women’s game take periodic steps forward in popularity, reach and fan engagement around key tournaments and this year should be no different. The “Let’s Go” platform, represents the desire to create change, using innovation, design and creativity to captivate fans and elevate outcomes.
EVERTON FC’S BUSY WEEK
A dramatic last Merset derby at the old Goodison Park was followed by a warning from the Gambling Commission that Everton’s shirt front sponsor gambling site Stake.com has would up its UK operation and is no longer regulated by it, making Everton and its leadership team responsible for ensuring that no British residents are accessing the overseas site the sponsor runs or facing penalties including fines and potential custodial sentences.
TAG HEUER BECOMES FIRST TITLE SPONSOR OF MONACO GP
TAG Heuer is to become the first ever title sponsor of the Monaco Grand Prix with a new logo being created to mark the first.
The brand is part of LVMH which has a ten year partnership with F1 and this is another strand to how that will manifest over the period.
“Monaco is truly our spiritual home, encapsulating much of what we stand for at Tag Heuer,” said CEO Antoine Pin.
“The spirit of competition, the challenging street course that rewards those who show the greatest mental resilience and physical strength, a place where driver’s push themselves to achieve their absolute best, we are honoured and delighted to renew our partnership with the Automobile Club de Monaco and extend our activities in the Principality with Tag Heuer being the first to hold this prestigious title.”
UFC AND MONSTER ENERGY SIGN RECORD DEAL
UFC has extended its partnership with Monster Energy as its Global Energy Drink Partner.
The deal is understood to be worth nine figures over a ten year period and comes off the back of indications that UFC will take in over $300 Million in commercial revenues through 2024.
