Stephen Gallagher

Stephen Gallagher is Head of Data Operations at Raiola in London.

He started his career in football straight out of university and has advanced quickly.

He moved to London after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science at UCD and Masters in Data Science at the University of Edinburgh, where he immediately started applying to jobs in football to pursue his passion of working in the football analytics industry.

During this time, he started delving into Fantasy Premier League data, which he leveraged to become ranked 3rd in the world in total points over the past three complete seasons.

He has a YouTube channel where he shares his insights on how he achieves these scores using data analysis and models. It wasn’t until he put these impressive FPL ranks on his CV that he started to gain traction with football analytics companies, and he eventually landed himself a role as a Data Scientist in the Player Scouting department at the World in Motion football agency based in London.

He then joined the RAIOLA agency in May 2023 as the Lead Data Scientist and has since been promoted to Head of Data Operations at the beginning of this year.
