RTÉ Sport has launched its 2025 summer sporting schedule, with 90 consecutive days of free-to-air live action across a wide range of sports.

From football to horse racing, athletics to camogie, and golf to hockey, fans can tune in to a packed calendar of national and international events, all broadcast across RTÉ’s TV, radio, and digital platforms.

Presenters Paul O’Flynn and Marie Crowe unveiled the summer of sport at Sport Ireland on Monday, joined by a host of Irish athletes from athletics, camogie, rugby, soccer, golf, and hockey.

Women’s competitions will take centre stage, including the 2025 Women’s Euros in Switzerland, the Women’s Rugby World Cup, and the European Hockey Championships.

The Republic of Ireland women’s soccer team kicks off the summer with friendlies in Colorado and Ohio on June 26 and 29.

RTÉ will also provide full coverage of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open from June 30 to July 6, with the final two rounds live on RTÉ One and RTÉ Radio 1.

August will see a return to home turf with the All-Ireland Camogie Championship finals on RTÉ, followed closely by the Women’s European Hockey Championships (August 8–17) and the Women’s Rugby World Cup (August 22–September 27).

“The breadth of sport available to our audience this year is outstanding,” said Declan McBennett, RTÉ Group Head of Sport.

“It is both brilliant and important that much of the focus will be on the very best of our female sports stars. These events will further cement the position of female sport at the centre of Irish life.”

Meanwhile, the GAA Championships continue to build toward a thrilling conclusion, with the Tailteann Cup Final on July 12th, followed by the All-Ireland Hurling Final (July 20th), Football Final (July 27th), and Camogie Final (August 10th).

RTÉ GAA coverage will span television, radio, and digital, including RTÉ One, RTÉ Player, RTÉ Radio 1, Raidió na Gaeltachta, the RTÉ Radio App, RTÉ.ie, and the RTÉ GAA Podcast.

Athletics also gets the spotlight, with the National Championships in August and the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo (September 13–21st), where Irish stars aim to shine.

Football fans can look ahead to the men’s World Cup qualifiers in September, as Ireland take on Hungary (September 7th) and Armenia (September 9th).

In partnership with Horse Racing Ireland, RTÉ will broadcast 29 days of racing, including highlights such as the Irish Derby (June 27–29th), Irish Oaks (July 20th), Galway Races (July 28–31st), and Irish Champions Festival (September 13–14th). The Dublin Horse Show (August 8–10th) will also feature live.

Jane Mangan and Ruby Walsh will continue to deliver expert insights across RTÉ’s racing coverage.

RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta will provide in-depth Irish-language commentary and analysis throughout the GAA Championships, turning its attention to the club scene in August, especially Gaeltacht teams in Donegal, Mayo, Meath, Galway, Kerry, Cork, and Waterford.

For those on the go, RTÉ’s digital platforms will keep fans updated in real-time with live blogs, match reports, reaction, and highlights available via the RTÉ Sport website, RTÉ News app, and YouTube.
