A brand-new fitness event will make its debut at the Sport Ireland Campus on Sunday, 21st September, with the launch of the Strive Fitness Race, organised by Ireland Active in partnership with Sport Ireland Campus.

Taking place during European Week of Sport, the Strive Fitness Race brings together running and functional fitness exercises in a competition powered by live technology, including leaderboards that track every metre run and every rep completed.

The event has been designed to be accessible to all levels of fitness, with two distinct formats across the day:

Morning – Strive Fitness Challenge: A welcoming, entry-level format perfect for those starting their fitness journey.

Afternoon – Strive Fitness Race: A more demanding competition aimed at advanced participants looking to test themselves.

“This is an exciting new addition to the sporting calendar,” said Karl Dunne, CEO of Ireland Active.

“Strive is about inclusion, innovation and motivation – creating an event that everyone can take part in while showcasing the strength of Ireland’s fitness community.”

Ireland Active members will have exclusive early access to registration from 12 noon on Monday, 25th August, with general ticket sales opening to the public on Wednesday, 27th August.

The Strive Fitness Race adds to the growing list of innovative events hosted at the Sport Ireland Campus, underlining its role as a hub for participation and high-performance sport.
