The streets of Dublin will come alive tomorrow evening as thousands of runners line up for the 2025 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge. The popular city-centre event, hosted by A&L Goodbody in partnership with Athletics Ireland, takes place on Tuesday, September 16th at 7.45pm.

Now firmly established as Ireland’s largest corporate city-centre 5K run, the ALG5K has grown into a highlight of the late summer calendar, attracting companies, clubs, and communities in a celebration of fitness, teamwork, and wellbeing. Teams of four will compete across male, female, and mixed categories, with chip timing ensuring accurate results.

A special buzz surrounds this year’s race following the 2024 edition, when A&L Goodbody’s own Eoghan McElhinney broke the tape in an impressive 15 minutes 29 seconds. McElhinney is back to defend his title on home streets, while his brother Darragh McElhinney will be flying the family flag at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo later this week, competing in the 5,000m.

In addition to the race itself, every participant will receive a commemorative ALG5K tech T-shirt and an official chipped bib number. The event also carries an important charitable dimension, supporting DePaul Ireland and Athletics Ireland’s youth programmes.

With the start gun set for 7.45 pm, the 2025 ALG5K promises another evening of fast running, fun rivalry, and city-centre atmosphere, as Dublin once again showcases the power of sport to bring people together.
