Dublin GAA has confirmed a three-year extension of its partnership with Gourmet Food Parlour, which will see the Dublin-based restaurant group continue as Official Catering Partner to the county’s senior teams.
The renewed agreement will see Gourmet Food Parlour work closely with the nutrition teams attached to Dublin’s senior inter-county squads, delivering a nutritious, tailored food offering throughout the season for all four senior panels.
The partnership will also extend beyond match-day and training-day catering, covering meetings and formal events hosted by Dublin GAA at Parnell Park and other locations around the city. It will also include access for players and team staff to Gourmet Food Parlour kitchens for education and demonstration sessions, adding a further practical layer to the relationship around nutrition and food preparation.
“It is great to be able to announce this extension and especially with a local Dublin-based business employing over 320 people in our communities,” said Marcus Ó Buachalla, Chief Commercial Officer with Dublin GAA.
“For over 20 years, Lorraine and the team in Gourmet Food Parlour have been building something special, and Dublin GAA, and our teams have benefited from that body of work and expertise.”
“Having Ciara Quinn as our dedicated account manager, working with our nutritionists, is another key element for us.”
“While the relationship is already strong with the team in Gourmet Food Parlour, being able to evolve and grow together not only year after year, but also in-season, is crucial for the players’ nutritional needs but also their enjoyment of the food.”
Founded in 2006, Gourmet Food Parlour has grown from its Dublin roots to a business with locations across Dublin, Meath and Galway, building its reputation around fresh produce, strong service and community connection.
The relationship with Dublin GAA has become part of that story, with the company supporting the food and nutrition needs of teams that have operated at the highest level of Gaelic Games over the past decade.
“Fuelling our athletes has been a goal of mine since the very beginning of the Gourmet Food Parlour journey,” said Lorraine Heskin, Founder and CEO of Gourmet Food Parlour.
“To be trusted as the catering and nutritional partner to the Dublin GAA senior teams over the past decade has been a dream come true. Our meals have become an essential part of the players’ training and nutrition regimen, helping fuel many All-Ireland-winning teams.
“As we celebrate 20 years in business this year, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved and look forward to continuing to play a key role in supporting the teams in the years ahead.”
Sport for Business Perspective
The extension reflects the importance of nutrition, recovery, and player care within the modern inter-county environment, as well as the value of building long-term partnerships with businesses rooted in the same communities as the teams they support.
It maintains a high-profile association between the brand and one of the most recognisable sporting identities in the country, while underscoring the role that food, education and preparation now play in elite amateur sport.
