Croke Park will open its gates to spectators for the first time in over a year on Saturday night when the Littlewoods Camogie National League Final between Galway and Kilkenny will throw in at 7-30 pm.

Tickets went on sale on Monday for the event which will have a limited attendance and all tickets have to have been bought in advance.

There will be restrictions in terms of physical distancing, mask-wearing and hand hygiene and there will be a strong emphasis on contact tracing so that sporting bodies can learn as much as possible from this as one of the 16 pilot events, and the first at Ireland’s largest stadium.

Galway and Kilkenny came through tight semi-finals against Cork and Tipperary so the game looks set to live up to the expectation. It will also be broadcast live on RTÉ 2, a first for the League competition.

Sport for Business will be chatting to Camogie Association CEO Sinéad McNulty in advance of the big day to get a sense of the planning going in behind the scenes at Croke Park.

The Camogie Association, Littlewoods and the GAA are among the 250+ members of the Sport for Business network of sporting and business organisations working together across a number of key areas.
