PwC Ireland has renewed its title sponsorship of the PwC All-Stars and PwC Camogie All-Stars awards for a further three years, extending one of the most prominent commercial partnerships in Gaelic Games and ensuring the relationship will pass the ten-year mark.
The agreement, announced at Croke Park, also includes the continuation of the PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month and PwC GPA Women’s Player of the Month awards, recognising outstanding performances across hurling, camogie, men’s football and ladies’ football throughout the season.
PwC first became the title sponsor of the All-Stars in 2017 and has played a central role in celebrating individual excellence across Gaelic Games since then. The latest extension will carry the partnership beyond a decade, a notable milestone in support of the Awards and the sports.
The professional services firm expanded its involvement in 2022 by becoming the title sponsor of the Camogie All-Stars, strengthening its support for women’s sport and helping to elevate the profile of the game alongside its backing of the GPA Women’s Player of the Month awards.
Announcing the renewal, Enda McDonagh, Managing Partner of PwC Ireland, said the awards reflected values that aligned closely with the organisation.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with the GAA/GPA and the Camogie Association for a further three years. These awards celebrate the very best of Gaelic Games, recognising not only exceptional individual male and female talent but also the dedication, commitment and teamwork that underpins success.
“At PwC, we are proud to support programmes that inspire excellence and create positive impact in communities across Ireland. We look forward to continuing our support of players and the organisations that work tirelessly to grow and develop our national games.”
The renewal was welcomed across the Gaelic Games family, with GAA President Jarlath Burns highlighting the importance of recognising excellence throughout the championship season.
“The All-Stars awards occupy a special place in our games, recognising the exceptional skill, dedication and leadership displayed by players throughout the championship season as a whole,” he said.
Camogie Association President Brian Molloy described PwC as a tremendous supporter of both camogie and Gaelic Games more broadly.
“The PwC Camogie All-Stars are one of the most important nights in our calendar, providing an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our players. These awards honour excellence on the field, but they also acknowledge the dedication, sacrifice and commitment that underpin success at the highest level of our games.”
The continuation of the partnership provides ongoing support for awards that hold particular significance among players themselves.
GPA Chief Executive Tom Parsons said the awards represented recognition from within the games for the commitment required to compete at the highest level.
“PwC has been a longstanding and valued partner of the GAA/GPA, helping us celebrate player achievement while also supporting the continued development of Gaelic games. We are delighted to extend this partnership and look forward to working together over the coming years to ensure players’ contributions continue to be recognised and celebrated.”
Sport for Business Perspective
The renewal demonstrates the enduring value of investing in properties that consistently deliver credibility, visibility and emotional connection.
The All-Stars remain among the most prestigious honours in Irish sport, and PwC’s decision to extend its commitment beyond ten years reflects both the strength of the awards and the importance of long-term partnerships in building brand affinity through sport.
PwC has also been a ten-year partner of the Sport for Business PwC 30 under 30, which has similarly recognised talent across the sporting and business landscape we cover every day.
