A&L Goodbody and Athletics Ireland have launched the 2025 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge, Ireland’s premier city-centre 5K run, which returns to Dublin City Centre on Tuesday, September 16th 2025.

The event is a cornerstone of the social running calendar, bringing together professionals from across Corporate Ireland for a night of fitness, fun, and friendly competition.

Corporate teams, family teams, sports club teams or friends will compete as teams of four, with male, female and mixed team categories. The official score for each team is determined by the recorded times of the registered team members with accurate chip timing for all participants.

Two-time European indoor 400m champion and Olympian David Gillick is an ambassador for the event in 2025.

“The ALG5K is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to step away from their desks, connect with colleagues, and challenge themselves in a fun and supportive environment,” he said.

“I’m excited to participate in an event promoting health, wellbeing, and community spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or starting out, the ALG5K is for everyone.”

The 2025 ALG5K will introduce several exciting new features, including an Early Bird entry, sublimated tech ALG5K t-shirts, DePaul as the 2025 nominated charity and a focus on reducing the event’s environmental impact, including eco-friendly prizes for the leading teams.

“We are delighted to continue supporting the ALG5K, an event that embodies A&L Goodbody’s commitment to health, wellbeing and community.,” said Managing Partner David Widger.

“Last year’s event was a tremendous success, and we’re excited to build on that momentum in 2025. This is more than just a run – it’s a chance for businesses to come together, celebrate teamwork and make a positive impact.”

“The ALG5K is one of the highlights of the social running calendar, and we’re thrilled to partner with A&L Goodbody once again,” added Hamish Adams, CEO of Athletics Ireland.

“Their support helps us invest in the next generation of Irish athletes while promoting the importance of fitness and wellbeing in the workplace.”
